He was raised in Quihi and was a member of New Fountain United Methodist Church. He loved nature and was interested in horticulture; his hobby was geology.
Most recently, he worked for a non-profit that provides services to families who have terminally ill members.
He loved architecture, reading, collecting articles about his hometown of Hondo and Quihi, local sports and travel. He was a very spiritual person who loved the Lord and found peace in scripture.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelda Schweers Beard and Lee Andrew Beard Jr., and grandparents, Jacob and Louisa Schweers, Lee Andrew Beard Sr. and Viola Beard.
He is survived by his sisters; nieces and his nephew.
