Vickie is survived by mother, Verona Routt; children; A.J. (Krystal) Newman, Vanessa (Jeremy) Ross, and B.J. Newman; grandchildren, Cody Newman, James Snyder, Kylee Ross, Dylan Newman, Jaiden Snyder, Kamrin Newman, Jackson Ross, Jarrett Ross, and Jace Ross; father of her children, former husband of 22 years, and remained friends since, Bart Newman; niece, Alicea McLain; uncle, Joseph (Susan) Vavrek; her Black Lab Buck, as well as many cousins and extended family in Florida.
As a young girl, Vickie enjoyed drawing and doing anything artistic, tormenting her younger sister, spending time with her grandparents, playing in her Grandmother Routt’s costume jewelry and makeup and with her Grandmother Vavrek’s dog, Bridgette. Throughout her childhood and beyond, Vickie enjoyed riding, as well as taking care of her horses. As an adult, she was a small business entrepreneur and owner of Clean Perceptions with partner Sherry Dmitrenak. Vickie enjoyed spending all of her spare time with her children and grandchildren, her loyal Black lab Buck, her best friend Christine Eddy, maintaining her pool which always brought her fond memories of her late father, working in her yard and inside of her home, as well as going to the casino. She adored having her hair done by her stylist, Lyndsi Maxwell. Some of Vickie’s favorite things were, boots, cowboy hats, horses, make-up, jewelry, Victoria’s Secret, and decorating for the Holidays as they were her favorite times of the year.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd. Dublin, OH 43017.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5 to 7PM at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068, where her funeral service will be held at 7PM with Pastor Bill Lavely officiating.
The family request attire for Vickie’s funeral service to be your favorite pair of blue jeans and boots.
Inurnment to be held at a later time and date at Violet Township Cemetery.
