He was born on November 25, 1960 to the late Bill and Billie Puryear Bailey.
Jeff was baptized when he was a teenager at the Tiftonia Church of Christ. Everyone that knew Jeff knew that he loved his mother more than anything; he also loved overalls, frosty’s, animals, rock and roll, his family and friends, and Jesus. Jeff was not afraid to die; he often said he was ready to be with mother again. Jeff had a big heart; if you needed a place to stay for a day or two Jeff’s door was always open, he would literally give you the shirt off his back. We will miss Jeff tremendously; we will miss his phone calls, his visits, his personality, his nicknames, his humor and wit. We know that he is in a better place and he will no longer suffer the trials and tribulations of this world.
He is survived by his brother Jackie (Joy) Bailey; and sisters, Sandra (Calvin) Jolly and Jennifer (Jerry) McCuiston; step-children, Sarah Okker, Jennifer Okker, and Jordan Okker; grandchildren: Chevy Kay, Maddie, and Lukas; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins; and his best friend Mindy Anderson.
The family will receive friends at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN from 3 – 7 CDT PM on Tuesday, December 4th. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Wednesday, December 5th at the funeral home with Minister John T. Smithson officiating.
Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
