He served his country in the United States Air Force, and then retired from the Corps of Engineers after 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, “Bootsie” Banks; three brothers, Hoyle, Donald Wayne and Berman Banks; and a sister, Billie Sue.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael E. Banks and Donald R. and Rhonda Banks; two brothers, Jimmy and Doyle Banks; two sisters and brother-in-law, Patsy Sue and Mosie Jordan, and Ala Fern Latham; two grandchildren, Josh Banks and Morgan Elizabeth Scott; along with other relatives and friends.
The Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2108, at the Shinn Chapel with Brother Kenneth Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
