He was born July 10, 1947, in Springhill, LA to the late Luther William Hopkins and Inez Eppinette Hopkins.
He was a retired mechanic for United Rentals, a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Juanita Evans Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Wigley Hopkins of Monticello; one son, William Hopkins and wife Angela of Oak Grove, LA; one daughter, Catherine Munhollon and husband Jay of Oak Grove, LA; one step-daughter, Maxann Wigley Mizell and Shane Duckworth of Monticello; one brother, John Hopkins of Bastrop, LA; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
