John Allen Faucette, 89, of 3956 NC Hwy 39 South, Henderson, NC died Monday, December 3, 2018 at a local nursing home.
Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Nathan General and Lula West Faucette. He was the widower of Emma Hendricks Faucette and Linda Williams Faucette.
Mr. Faucette was a retired employee of Harriett & Henderson Yarns Inc. He was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Mens Ministry. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and father-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by Pastor Phil Collins and Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, John D. Faucette (Vicki) and Paul A. Faucette (Kathy); four grandchildren, Eric Faucette, Jeremy Faucette, Jason Owen and Trey Hill; four great-grandchildren, Trent Owen, Clara Owen, Pamela Hill, and Whitney Hill; and a special niece, Nancy Ball (Jimmy). He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jean Faucette; four brothers; a sister; and a special niece, Linda G. Lee.
The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service at the church. All other times, they will be at the home.
Serving as pallbears will be Jason Owen, Trey Hill, Eric Faucette, Jeremy Faucette, Bobby Jackson, Norman Haithcock, and Billy Reams.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
