It is with great sadness that the family of Calvin Raye Hawkins announces his passing. Calvin was called home suddenly to the Lord on December 1, 2018, at the age of 76, in Leander, Texas.

Calvin was born in Menard, Texas on January 31, 1942. He moved to the Leander area in March of 1969. Shortly after, he began work at Texas Crushed Stone where he worked for four decades until retirement. Much of his free time was spent surrounded by his large family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Hawkins; mother, Goldie Hawkins; brothers, JB, Aaron, and Terry Lee; sisters, Annalene, Willie Belle, Gladiola, and Barbara.

He leaves behind his brothers, Sam and Dwight; his sister, Christine; his daughters, Sheila (Chad) and Theresa; his son, Curtis; his grandchildren, Chance (Reggie), Sarena (Josh), Ashley, and Shavon; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Associate Pastor Tim Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, Texas.
