VANDALIA, MI - Terry Lee Curtis, 77, of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his home. He was born November 27, 1941 in Elkhart to the late William A. & Maxine E. (Whinnary) Curtis.
On July 9, 1977, he married Linda E. Slabaugh. She survives along with four children, Matthew (Christine) Strukel of Grand Ledge, MI, Christina Strukel of Tampa, FL, Karen (Eric) Curtis-Miller of Granger, IN, and Steve (Deborah) Curtis of Vandalia, MI; 8 grandchildren, Brooke Strukel, Anthony Strukel, McKenzie Andis, Chase Miller, Kevin Wilkens, Ryan Wilkens, Carrie Curtis, and Michael Curtis; and a great-grandson, Gavin Andis.
Terry graduated in 1959 from South Bend Adams High School. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edwardsburg, was an avid Notre Dame fan, and enjoyed reading, cooking, and grilling. Terry worked with his father at Reese Products, Kauffman Products for 13 years and was the owner of Curtis Cleaning Service from 1992-2002.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at Rice Cemetery at a later date. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society or Great Lakes Hospice.
