Paula E. Herring, 70, of McSherrystown, entered the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Born July 24, 1948, in Hanover, Pa., she was the daughter of Franklin D. and Geneva E. (Wisner) Purrington. Paula was the loving wife of the late Dennis E. Herring, who died Nov. 19, 2003.
Paula was a member of Providence Community Church, Spring Grove, Pa., where she was a member of the Welcome Team and the Bake Team.

Paula was a 1966 graduate of Hanover High School. She worked at the Little Life Enrichment Center as a childcare assistant and at Adams County National Bank as a teller.
Paula loved being around and teaching children. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, playing piano, and performing random acts of kindness.
Paula is survived by a son Chad A. Herring of McSherrystown.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Providence Community Church, 6146 York Road, Spring Grove, Pa., with Pastor Mike Coarson officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at the church
