He was the son of Robert and Bessie (Dunn) Adams. On Jul 30, 1965, in Tazewell, TN, he married Hazel Sharp, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Kay Bagwell, Easley, SC, and Stacy (Paul Gross) Neeley, Sidney; a son, Bobby J. Adams, St. Marys; and ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Tammy Brezeale; a son, James Michael Adams; a granddaughter, Maddison; two brothers: Archie and Lawrence 'Pat' Adams; and two sisters: Ruby Webb and Sara Moore.
A veteran of both the the United States Army and United States Air Force, he retired from the Norfolk & Southern Railroad Co. His favorite pastime was driving his sand-rail dune buggy and talking on his citizen's band radio, with the handle of "Poor Boy."
Services will be at the Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial, with graveside military honors, will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
