Janet Marie Hart was born January 30, 1953 in Peoria, IL to Robert Smith and Mary Helen Dunham. She passed from this life on December 2, 2018 in Tulsa. She was 65.
Janet grew up in Peoria and Rock Falls, IL before moving to Dixon, IL where she graduated from high school. She went on to attend Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon. On October 7, 1972 she was married to Donald Hart Jr. in Rock Falls, IL. The couple moved to Wainwright, OK in 1987.
Janet worked as a bookkeeper for Sam Fowler’s CPA office for 29 years. She loved spending time with her family and working at her church. She especially enjoyed working during VBS and helping with the Wednesday night dinners. Evenings would find her reading or watching the Hallmark Channel or other favorite shows. She also enjoyed playing board games and cards with her family.
Survivors include her husband Donald Hart of the home; two daughters, Belinda Farmer and husband Scott of Hulbert, OK and Jamie Ramey of Wainwright; grandchildren, Katelynn O’Laughlin, Ivan Ramey, Megan Farmer, Nicole Williams and husband Brandon, Caleb Farmer, Sierra Gritts-Farmer, Jose Farmer, Angela Farmer-Castro, Tammy Farmer and multiple foster grandchildren; great grandchildren, Ariana Woods and Amiah Woods; sisters, Rosemary Pevey and husband Mark, Debbie Trenholm and Doreen Forney and husband Ray; brother Bobby Dunham and wife Lynn; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and a brother Jim Smith.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday December 6, 2018 at the Wainwright Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Bible officiating. Interment will follow at 12 p.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Viewing will be from 10 am to 9 pm Wednesday. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 6 pm.
