Eugene Lloyd Watson, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his son's home after a short battle with lung & liver cancer. Eugene is survived by his two sons Darrell Watson (Lisa) of Ruther Glen and Maurice Watson (Betty Walker) of Milford; four grandchildren, Kierra, Darrell Jr., Daquann and Mason; one great-grandson Cameron; mother Edna Brown of Woodford; two sisters; seven brothers; one sister-in-law; and a host of nephews and nieces.
There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 16, at A. L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, 200 Butternut Drive, Fredericksburg, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, with viewing one hour prior to the funeral at Macedonia Baptist Church, 7187 Macedonia Rd, Woodford, VA, Rev. Carroll Jackson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, VA. A repast will follow at the church.
