Eddie loved the Lord, he attended Madison Park Church of God and Silver Lake Community Church in Leesburg, Florida. Eddie loved baseball, most specifically the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played in the Babe Ruth World Series in 1960. He coached at Erskine Little League from 1966-1975. Eddie loved golf. His dream was to build a golf course, which he did. He built Raintree Springs (Royal Hylands) in Knightstown. He built greens and an irrigation system at Jasper Municipal GC and finished building and was the superintendent at Twisted Oaks Golf Club in Beverly Hills, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Paula, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, Landon Bowling, Mollie (Randy) Johnson, Kimberly (Derrick) Valentine, Callahan Bowling, Alex (Ashley) Ray, and Justin and Jason Lynn. Also, survived by 8 great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Ella, Hayden, Noah, Lucas, Caisyn, Jordan and Reese. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Bart) Speedy-Fuqua, brother, Bill (Jackie) Ray, sister-in-law, Shirley Ray, and many nieces and nephews.
. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Monday, December, 3rd. at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Daleville with Funeral services to be held Tuesday, December 4th at 11am at the funeral home.
