Lewis J. Cox was born September 25, 1928 in Trinton (Okfuskee County), Oklahoma to Lewis E. Cox and Lena M. (Owens) Cox. He passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Okemah, Oklahoma at the age of 90.
Mr. Cox was a longtime resident of the Okemah and Cromwell area. He and Delores McAtee were married April 15, 1950 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mr. Cox also served his country with the United States Marine Corp.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Delores Cox; one son, Lou Jack Cox and wife Annie of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Karon Cox of Okemah and Sherri Barnett and husband Keith of Oklahoma City; one brother, Raymond Cox of California; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
All arrangements were handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
