ICE ANGLER
Ray Floyd Seeley, 59, former Grand Rapids resident and the last year of 11386 Fruit Ridge Avenue, Sparta, machinist for Atwood Brass Co., the last 10 years, died unexpectedly Sunday while ice fishing on Croton Pond near Newaygo. Born in Rockford, he lived there until he was 18 years old, when he moved to Detroit to work for Cadillac Motor Co. He also was a Detroit police officer six years. In 1930 he moved to Cadillac, living there until moving to Grand Rapids in 1952. Surviving are his wife, Martha; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Jane) Salisbury and Mrs. Marvin (Donna) Falor of Vicksburg and Mrs. Ronald (Judith) Greenman of Cadillac; a son, James of Vicksburg; a stepson, Charles Burke of Peru, Indiana; six sisters Mrs. Mark (Leona) Bassett of San Jose, California, Mrs. Arthur (Beatrice) Bellemore of Detroit, Mrs. Sylvester (Marian) Baldwin of Cedar Springs, Mrs. Dale (Daisy) Pond of Owosso, Mrs. George (Edith) Zaske of Flint and Mrs. Harry (Olive) Irish of Grand Rapids; three brothers, Samuel of Ferndale, Ben of Rockford and Harold of Roseville and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Van'tHof - DeMeester Chapel with burial in Bostwick Lake Cemetery.
