Elaine Marie Collins (née Ginther) passed unexpectedly but peacefully on Sept. 21, 2018 surrounded by her whole family. Elaine was born on June 15, 1953 in Chicago, Ill. Her family moved to California where she attended St. Ferdinand Elementary in San Fernando, Calif. and Thousand Oaks High School in Thousand Oaks, Calif. After high school, she attended beauty school and later went on to do hair and nails for many clients and loved ones. Elaine had seven children and was dedicated to caring for all of them. She also was a certified caregiver and daycare provider while she lived in Oregon. Later in life, Elaine moved to Pahrump to be surrounded by family. She was part of a bowling team for some time. She also took pride in singing in the choir every Sunday at St. Joseph's Church in Las Vegas. Elaine was preceded in death by her niece, JoBeth Ginther; as well as her mother, Helen Ginther. She is survived by her father, eight siblings, many nieces and nephews; and her seven children; Tory Gilbert, Candi Cuadra, Becky Thomas, Audra Hampton, Shane Collins, Cody Collins and Angie Crnkovich-Collins; their spouses and partners; as well as 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her entire family.
