HOUSTON - Robert Everette "Bobby" Holder, also known as "Frog," 64, of Houston, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was born March 1, 1954 in Vardaman to James Everette and Mavis Winter Holder. He was a farmer, and was retired from Chickasaw Farm Services in Houston. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Calhoun County. He was a loving husband, father, soon-to-be-grandfather, and friend.
Bobby's life will be celebrated at Thorn Church of God, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Brother Tommy Havard and Brother Johnny Cherry officiating. The family will receive visitors Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty; his daughter Alisha and her husband, Justin Richardson, and one grandchild to arrive in April; his mother, Mavis Holder; his sister, Judith Ann and her husband Jerry Martin; two brothers -in-law: Danny Higginbotham, and Jimmy Higginbotham and his wife Linda; and his life-long friend, Randall Langford; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends that were like family.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Everette Holder, his parents-in-law Henry and Ruth Higginbotham.
Southern Funeral Chapel of Houston has the honor of serving the family.
