Maxine Smith Dunn, 87, died peacefully at home on Saturday December 1, 2018.

She was born in Conway to the late Etha Smith King. She met and married her high school sweetheart of 69 years, W. Myron Dunn in June 1949. They were blessed with three children, Steve, Terry, and "Jim". She retired as Payroll Supervisor from Horry County School District in 1989. Mrs. Dunn was a member and served on the board of both local and national Associations of School Business Officials. She and Myron then worked as tour guide and bus driver for Sunway Tours and travelled all over the country as well as internationally. Mrs. Dunn was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Conway, was a charter member of the John McCutcheon Sunday School Class, and started the "On the Road Again" group. She and Myron have been lifetime campers and were members of the NCHA. Mrs. Dunn was an excellent seamstress: from making delicate baby clothes to making a tent top for a camper. Her greatest love was her family.

She is survived by her husband, W. Myron Dunn of Conway, one son, Steve M. Dunn (Dayna) of Conway, two daughters, Terry D. Farmer (Richard) of Jupiter, FL, and "Jim" D. McBride (Olin) of Tupelo, MS, six grandchildren, Ryan Dunn, Allison D. Padgett (Phil), Jennifer S. Anderson (Neil), Erin C. Farmer, Emory V. McBride, and O. Watson McBride, Jr. (Samantha), five great grandchildren, Emma Watson Skates, Aubrey Watson McBride, Avery J. Padgett, John Thomas Anderson, and Ella Grace Anderson, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would also like to give a special thanks to her devoted caregivers, Robin Swatman and Naomi Coffee.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Conway with Rev. Kyle Randle officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
