McDANIEL, PHYLLIS KAY, age 60, widow of Marty Reed McDaniel, passed away 11:20 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at U.T. Medical Center.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon and a longtime member of West End Baptist Church, Athens. She was employed by Coordinated Charities.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ralph Winton and Edna Powers Collins; sisters, Nancy Hester and Diane Tindell.
Survivors: daughter, Donna Sargeant; Son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Ruth Ann Duggan, of Athens; Grandchildren, Nikki and Cody Walden, Jhonathon Arwood, Taylor Leshae Gibson, Ashlee Carpenter; Sister and brother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Jerry Ball, of Athens; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Winton and Hazel Collins, of Decatur, Mike and Jane Collins, Jeff Collins, of Athens, Arnold and Margaret Collins, Forreston, IL; Several nieces and nephews; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hugh D. and Lois McDaniel, of Madisonville.
Funeral 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Herman Jordan, Rev. Gerald Lynn officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
