Wanda Cranford Fields, 73, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Reidsville, NC and inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
From Sanford, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vince and Eunice Cranford of Greensboro and had lived in Reidsville for the past 27 years. She was an employee of the Piedmont Triad Visitor Center and a member of the Barney Chapter of the Andy Griffith Rerun Watchers Club. For 13 years, she served as the Education Director with The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Danville, VA. Wanda was a graduate of Page High School who had close ties with the Summerfield School Class of 1962. In 2010, she earned a masters-level certification in Preschool and Children's Ministry from Campbell University Divinity School in partnership with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Wanda loved photography, quilting, pottery, painting and nature. She relished her time spent with family, devotions with friends, having lunch with Reidsville neighbors and going on trips with her Dogwood Girls. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother with her faith in God being central in her life. She was preceded in death by husband of 52 years, Shelton Lewis Fields, Jr.
Survivors include: Son, Brad Fields and wife Nancy of Middletown, NJ, daughter Jenny Coe and husband Jamie of Chesterfield, VA, grandmother to: Amanda Fields and Lainey Coe, brother-in-law Luther Fields and wife Martha of Madison, NC, sisters-in-law: Katie Fields of Summerfield, NC, Susan Fields of Topsail Beach, NC, and Bonnie Fields and husband Ed Miller of Summerfield, NC, many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will see friends in the Parlor of St. Thomas Episcopal Church immediately following the memorial service.
