Lois Marie Butler, 89, of Luray, died on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Whispering Pines.

She was born on May 18, 1929, in Cosby, Tennessee, and was a daughter of the late Burton Webb and Littia Barnes Webb.

On September 16, 1948, she married William Alexander Butler, who died on April 28, 2014.

She is survived by three sons, J.C. Butler of Bristow, William Alexander Butler Jr. of Catlett, and Jeff Butler of Nokesville; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Brant of North Carolina; four brothers, Bruce Webb of Virginia, and Ray, Bobby and Richard Webb, all of Tazwell; three sisters, Sylvia Pelletier of Chicago, Ill., Gona Olson of Minnesota, and Ada VanDyke; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, John Douglas Butler; two sisters, Ina Belcher and Leta Neeves; and two brothers, Mitch and Clyde Webb.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Bradley Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax.
