Debbie was born the daughter of the late R.V. (Johnson) and A.C. Luce. She died at her residence. Her funeral service will be held December 3, 2018 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel . Interment will follow in Simpson Cemetery.
Mrs. Pugh was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had lived in Lufkin all her life and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pollok. Mrs. Pugh had previously worked as a bookkeeper for Angelina Eye Center for more than 15 years. Debbie played college basketball at Trinity Valley Junior College and Sam Houston State University. She was on the All-Conference team at Sam Houston.
Survivors include her husband, Rex Pugh; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Lee Mahan; grandchildren, Riley and Brynlee Mahan; sisters, Doris Smith, Edna Modisette and husband Dwain,, and Billie Warnasch; brothers, Tommy Luce and wife Gay, Robert Luce and wife Marie; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Cole Pugh and wife Candy, Tracy Pugh; numerous nieces, nephews.
Mrs. Luce was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Alvie Lee and JoAnn Luce; and parents-in-law, Roy Pugh and Jeanne James.
