He is survived by his parents Andrew Emmanuel and Karen Louise (Schweigert) Potter.
Also surviving are his siblings Luke Andrew Potter, Laura Helen Potter and Allison Ann Potter.
He graduated from Logan High School and was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Logan. His Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Church.
He died unexpectedly at work in the Med Flight Base in Pomeroy.
Mark was very active on the Hocking County Rope Rescue Team, and a former Range Technician (fire) at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Montana.
He volunteered at the Starr Township Fire Department and was employed as a paramedic for Hocking County EMS for 7 years. More recently he worked as a flight paramedic and external base lead for MedFlight Base 3 for nearly 2 years.
