Mrs. Connie Hudspeth Campbell, 90, of Franklin, NC. died Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Born in Belmont, NC she was the daughter of the late John Frank Hudspeth and Sadie Mullis Hudspeth and the widow of John H. Campbell to whom she was married for 26 years prior to his passing on Jan. 30, 1979. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rev. F. Mason Hudspeth and a sister, Ann Fox.

She began a career of 41 years as a dedicated secretary/bookkeeper at Franklin HighSchool,where she exemplified professionalism, integrity,and a strong work ethic. She faithfully served the principals, teachers, and supported the students in their activities until her retirement of June 30, 1994. She was a friend and mentor to many during her years of service.

She was a member of Iotla Baptist Church for 65 years, where she served in numerous capacities as long as her health would allow her to attend. She served as Music Director for 25 years, she was also active in the Katherine Sunday School Class, church choir, Discipleship Training, Women's Missionary Union, JOY Group, Sew'n Sews, as well as serving on the Helping Hands Committee. She was fully devoted in every aspect of her church and church family.
