Lois Maria Meyers of Hackberry, Louisiana
February 28, 1928 - November 30, 2018

Lois Maria Meyers, 90, of Hackberry passed away on November 30, 2018 in a local hospital. Lois was born in Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Hackberry. She worked as a LPN for Cal-Cam Hospital in ICU and in nursing homes for 30 years. Lois was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed knitting.



Lois is survived by her two sons, Brian Desormeaux of Hackberry and Gary Desormeaux of Cibolo, TX; her daughter, Julie Denise Alford of Hackberry; her sister, Sr. Lea Meyers of Lafayette; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Grace Meyers; and her brother, Leroy Meyers.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 2 P.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry with Father Arvind Minz , HGN officiating. Burial will be in New Hackberry Cemetery in Hackberry under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at the church hall. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 3, at 9 A.M. until time of the service
