MOULTON — Jerry Wayne Hunter, 74, of Moulton passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steven Dutton and Rev. Gary Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

A member of Wear Baptist Church, Jerry was retired from 3M after 36 years of service. Known by many as “Coach Pawpaw” he will always be remembered as a loving and devoted family man.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jo Hunter; sons, Tommy Hunter (Dawn) and Daryl Hunter (Karen); grandchildren, Jessica Marsh (Garrett), Jami Dawson (Jon), Joy Hunter, Colt Hunter and Grace Hunter; brothers, Larry Hunter (Brenda) and Jesse Hunter (Tammy); sister, Sheila Moffet; sister-in-law, Marie Ashley; brother-in-law, Sanford Norton, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Ruthie Hunter; brothers, Johnny Hunter and Roger Hunter.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Hunter, Daryl Hunter, Colt Hunter, Jon Dawson, Garrett Marsh and Deny Ashley.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Mann and the nursing staff at Huntsville Hospital for their special care.
