Stephen Ray Shaw, 66 years old, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home.
Stephen was born June 10, 1952 in Milan to Ray Calvin "Jack" and Helen (Bunch) Shaw. Stephen married Mary Jane Parker and four children were born to this marriage. He then married Sherry Albertson and one child was born.
Survivors include: Five children, Adrian Eden Shaw (Michelle) of Wheaton, Missouri, Shannon Shaw (Tonya) of Butterfield, Missouri, Ryan Shaw (Tina) of Monett, Missouri, Helen Ann Wells (Jonathan) of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Erika Blair (Josh Walker) of Kansas City, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Shaw of Kearney, Missouri, Janice Caldwell of Independence, Missouri, and Jackie Coin (Donnie) of Milan, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: His parents; and one sister, Peggy Stroud.
Stephen grew up in Chicago and graduated from Lane Tech College Prep. He moved and lived in Los Angeles for 8 years where he worked for the California Highway Department. He moved to Springfield, Missouri and worked for the Coop, then to Kansas City, Missouri and worked for Augustine Exterminators. He moved back to Green City, where he has lived for the past 20 years, retiring from Farmland in Milan in 2017.
Stephen liked to hunt, fish, ride horses, and raise animals. He loved to have fun.
Funeral services for Stephen will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2018 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday evening, November 15, 2018 at the funeral home. After the graveside, a meal will be held at City Hall in Green City.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Zion Cemetery.
