Lois May Morrison, 91, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines. A Celebration of Lois' life will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Edgewater's Performing Arts Center with a service at 5:30 p.m.

Lois has most recently lived at Edgewater Retirement Community in West Des Moines, being one of the first groups of residents to move in, almost 10 years ago. She enjoyed getting together with her friends for games, meals, and other fun group activities. While living in Iowa, Lois attended West Des Moines United Methodist Church and volunteered for many church functions.

Lois was born June 19, 1926 in Freeport, IL. She lived in Illinois, Minnesota, then Wisconsin, wintered in Green Valley, AZ and then moved to West Des Moines to be closer to her son, Stephen, during her last 17 years. She always joked that she moved 17 times in 19 years. Lois married William "Paul" Morrison in 1950 and enjoyed 50 years of marriage together.

She is survived by her son, Stephen (Sue) Morrison of West Des Moines; three grandchildren, Amy (David) Marotz of Woodbury, MN, William (Toni) Morrison of West Des Moines, and Rorie (Chris) Anders of St. Louis Park, MN; two step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Stuart) Keisman of Grandview, MO, and Andy Axne of Kansas City, MO; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Justin Marotz; and two step-grandchildren, John and Nathan Keisman.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; son, Dan Douglas; parents, Ella and Harold Finkenbinder; brother, Paul Finkenbinder; and many other in-laws she was near and dear to.

We will miss her big smile, gentle spirit, and playing the card game Golf, with her.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association: Greater Iowa Chapter, c/o Arbor Springs or any Animal Rescue League.
