After a year-long battle with cancer, Angela "Angie" Marie Callahan passed away on 29 November 2018 at her home in Woodbury, surrounded by her loving family.

Angie was born 23 September 1961 in Osceola, Iowa, to Paul and Pauline (Gavle) Callahan. She grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She attended St. Edmond High School and the University of South Dakota. Angie completed her undergraduate degree at Iowa State University. Then, she obtained her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. Her last position was as a Speech Language Pathologist at Pullman Elementary School in St. Paul Park.

Angie spent her early adult life raising four wonderful children, who benefited from her kind and caring ways. She was the rock for her family and her love, support, and amazing parenting skills allowed her husband to flourish; together, they were the ultimate team. Angie was an extraordinary listener, and her kind, loving heart provided comfort and support to everyone who knew her. She loved to read books, cheer on her children, and eat dinner together with her family. Her favorite place was her parents' cabin in Wisconsin, where she loved watching her children and nieces and nephews water ski, roast s'mores, and listen to stories from their grandparents. Simply put, Angie's life was all about family. She lived in close proximity to her siblings and found joy in spending her adult life involved with siblings, nieces, nephews, and parents, along with her children and husband.

Angie had so much to look forward to, with her children entering adulthood. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild in February. She would have been the best grandma and everyone will make sure her future grandchildren know her loving ways.

She is survived by her husband, four children, parents, and three siblings as well as many other extended family members. A visitation was held on Sunday, 2 December 2018, at Woodbury United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Road, Woodbury, Minnesota. Her funeral service was held Monday, 3 December 2018, at the church. Prior to the funeral service, a private family burial was conducted at Woodbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Angie's family wishes to honor her love for Pullman by dedicating a memorial to benefit its students and their families. Angie was very passionate about her work at Pullman Elementary School, and she loved working with the staff and serving her students. Pullman Elementary of St. Paul Park is a true neighborhood school, serving many families who struggle financially to provide the essentials to help ensure success. Pullman is committed to building self-esteem, enhancing creativity and individuality, and building a community of life-long learners. Pullman is always looking for financial help to provide its students the needed clothing, supplies, snacks and field trip monies while they are at school. For those who wish to donate, checks can be made to Pullman Elementary School and sent to 8186 Enclave Road, Woodbury, MN 55125, or be placed in the donation box at the church.

Angie's family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support she received during the 14 months she was being treated for cancer.
