Kathleen May “Kathy” Booty, Youngstown, Ohio, died on Sunday (9-24-2006) as a result of an automobile accident on Mines Rd., Niles, Ohio. She was 52.
Ms. Booty was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 13, 1954, a daughter of Charles F. Sr. and Alice May (Crew) Booty.
A 1972 graduate from Mathews High School, Vienna, Ohio, Kathy furthered her education by obtaining a B.S. degree and a M.S. degree, both in marketing, from Youngstown State University.
Kathy was presently employed at Home Savings & Loan, Youngstown, having worked in their marketing department for the past 11 years. Her previous employment included: 17 years of marketing for St. Elizabeth Medical Center and 2-3 years of accounting for General Fireproofing, both in Youngstown.
She was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed cats & flowers. She also loved knitting hats & scarves for her family and friends.
Survivors include: her parents, Charles & Alice, Vienna, OH; her siblings, Lynda Canatay, Orlando, FL, Charles F. Booty, Jr., Masury, OH, and Gregory Crew Booty, Vienna, OH; her niece, Seneca Lynn Booty; her nephew, Jonathan C. Canatay; and many aunts, uncles & cousins, as well as countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry W. & Ella Booty, Laura Booty, and Era & Anna Crew.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Vienna United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bruce McLaughlin, Pastor. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, and one hour prior to the church service. Burial will be Vienna Township Cemetery.
