She graduated from New Port High School in May 1954. She then received her beautician license for Washington State in 1956. After 24 years of service in the IRS she retired in 1995.
Thelma enjoyed crocheting and won many awards at county fairs for her work. She also enjoyed creating many beautiful quilts and loved baking-especially pies, cookies, and cinnamon rolls.
She is survived by her children, Bud (Nancy) Napples, Chuck Napples, Kristine Lindsay, Matthew Cox, Step-daughter Donna (Roger) Gray, and many loved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Thelma is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, three sisters, brother, daughters, Brenda Joy Napples and Melanie Ann Brewer, sons, Thomas Jackie Napples and Joseph Merton Napples, and step-son, Robert LeRoy Cox.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Fielding cemetery. A viewing will be held prior at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.) from 12-1:30 p.m.
