Themla was born on June 14, 1936 in Dalkens, Washington to Merton and Thelma Jeppsen Clumpner. She was married to E. LeRoy Cox on October 26, 1968 in Elko, Nevada. He passed away on May 12, 2010.

She graduated from New Port High School in May 1954. She then received her beautician license for Washington State in 1956. After 24 years of service in the IRS she retired in 1995.

Thelma enjoyed crocheting and won many awards at county fairs for her work. She also enjoyed creating many beautiful quilts and loved baking-especially pies, cookies, and cinnamon rolls.

She is survived by her children, Bud (Nancy) Napples, Chuck Napples, Kristine Lindsay, Matthew Cox, Step-daughter Donna (Roger) Gray, and many loved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
