Columbus, Georgia- Mrs. Willie Mae Reynolds, 96, of Columbus, died Friday, November 23, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Benedict Catholic The Moor Church. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave., Columbus, GA. Visitation will be 1-6 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Mrs. Reynolds was born May 22, 1922 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Willie Smith and Mary Etta Lewis Smith. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church, where she sang in the 9 o'clock Choir. She was a member of Legion of Mary and was very active in the National Council of Catholic Women, Columbus Community Prayer Band, and worked with numerous senior citizen and other ministries within the church and the community. She was also a Eucharistic Ministry Member. Mrs. Reynolds was a former food service specialist with the Muscogee County School District for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Reynolds, Sr., brother, Willie Smith, sisters, Della Mae Gamble, Evelyn Dunlap and her daughter-in-law, Cassandra Reynolds. Survivors include: her three sons and three daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, one great grandson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
