Laurel Michaels was born July, 29, 1893 in Scranton, the daughter of Frank Edwin, Sr. and Jessie Ann LINN Michaels. She married Jess Thomas Adams on September 2, 1914, in Osage County. To this union two sons were born, Frank Edwin Adams and James Michael Adams.

Mrs. Laurel Michael Adams, 92, Topeka, passed away Dec. 5, 1985, at a Topeka retirement home where she lived the past 15 years. She was born July 29, 1893, at Scranton, the daughter of Frank E. and Jesse Lynn Michael. She lived in the Lyndon community 30 years and also had lived in the Silver Lake and Rossville communities. Mrs. Adams was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Lyndon. She was married to Jess T. Adams Sept. 2, 1914, at Scranton. He passed away Oct. 6, 1963. Survivors include twin sons, James Michael Adams, Rossville and Frank Edwin Adams, rural Topeka; one brother, Frank Michael, Scranton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Dec. 7, at the Presbyterian Church in Lyndon. Burial was in the Scranton Cemetery. Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon was in charge of arrangements.
