We regret this week to announce the death of Mr. Thomas Lee, of North Dumfries. The deceased, with his brothers, George, John, and David, came to Galt in its very early days, Mr. George Lee carrying on his business as a watchmaker, and the other brothers settling on the property now known as "Oaklands." They prospered and built up for themselves the very handsome property to which we have referred. It will be recollected that after many years of a successful business life, Mr. George Lee removed with his family to Owen Sound, carrying with him the sincere respect of the people amongst whom he had spent many years of a most worthy, useful life. After residing in Own Sound for a few years Mr. Lee died. The brothers have been noted for their quiet, unostentatious lives and have endeared themselves to all by their kind deeds and ready aid and assistance to all religious and charitable projects. Mr. Lee had arrived at the good old age of 73. His funeral will take place today (Friday) at 2 o'clock p.m., from his residence to Cedar Creek cemetery.
