Tommy Joe Allen, 86, of Corsicana, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, at his residence with his family at his bedside. Burial will be at Campbell-Elrod Cemetery.
Tommy was born on July 9, 1932, in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Arthur Edgar Earl Allen and Viola Ann Pritchett Allen. He married Betty Jo Widner in 1952, they had one son, Tommy Joe "Joey" Jr. Tommy married Geraldine Long Hollis in 1956. She already had three children, Sharon, and Hollis and Robert "Bobby" Earl Hollis. She and Tommy had a daughter, Kathy Jean. Tommy lost Geraldine (Gerry) in 1992, and he then married Nana Rosselot in 1992.
He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was also a Deacon in Corsicana Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was well-loved by all and he loved others as well. He also loved to mow pasture and raise a garden, and he was a farmer at heart.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister; brother, Pete Allen; sister, Jannette Cox; son, Robert Hollis; and granddaughter, Stacy Long.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Allen; son, Tommy Joe "Joey" Allen Jr. and wife, Cindy; daughters, Sharon Jennings and her husband, Ted, and Kathy Rosselot and her husband, Arlen; brother, Johnny Allen and his wife, Cookie, and William Allen; stepchildren, Ray Wilson, Vickie Bradwell and her husband, Teri, Scarlotte Pancerzewski and her husband, John, and Paul Rosselot and his wife, Arlonda; grandchildren, Tracy Montgomery and her husband, Donald Lee, Dusty Rosselot, Shay and Craig Masterson, Gail Jennings, Emily Colbert and her husband, Devon, Melody Neff and her husband, Brian; great-grandsons: Jax, Caleb, Cole, Deegan, and Levi; great-granddaughters, Kinzie and Morgan; great-great-great-granddaughter, Austyn; numerous step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his little dog, Tiny, who was his faithful companion.
