Beatrice L. Hall, age 102, 10 months, 28 days, of Shelby, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital.
She was born January 1, 1916 in Shelby and was a graduate of Shiloh High School. Bea worked at Stevenson’s Drug Store and was an active member of Shelby Church of the Nazarene. Bea’s primary focus, her entire life, was raising and caring for her family and helping others. She loved baking, especially cakes, sewing, and listening to the radio. She particularly enjoyed listening to sports.
Bea is survived by 4 children: Mary Jane French of Mansfield, Linda Means of Mansfield, Terry (Bonnie) Hall of Shelby, and Sally Young of Shelby; a daughter-in-law: Bonnie Hall of Shelby; grandchildren: Mary (Kevin) Hamond, James Strickler, Randy French, Tammy Fox, Ken (Loretta) Means, Jason Young, Bobby French, Betty Jo Hout, Matthew French, Scarlet French, Ashley (Cory) Fenner, and Cordell French; Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mae Cattey of Shelby and Clara Mosley of Bucyrus.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd C. Orewiler and Ethel Cora (Rigg) Orewiler-Jenkins; step-father who raised her Clyde Jenkins; her husband: Eugene L. Hall; 2 sons: Maxwell French and Martin Hall; a step son: Ronald Hall; son-in-law: Kenneth Means; a great grandson; and by her siblings: Eunice Clabaugh, Ella Argo, Sylvia Argo, Ernie Jenkins, and Gladys Durfee.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with Pastor Lester Champer, her pastor, officiating. Memorial expressions may be made to the church.
