Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, December 2nd at 3 pm at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel . Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born on July 1, 1947 in Sampson County, Nan was the daughter of the late Lamb Casey and Edna Darden Casey Powell. She was a medical transcriptionist and Charter Member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hayward Smith ; daughter, Anna Smith DeVaul (Dr. Chanson A. DeVaul) of Goldsboro; son, Casey Smith of Kinston; grandson, Chandler Grant DeVaul; granddaughter, Addison Grace DeVaul; and two stepsisters: Janet King (Thomas) of Clinton and Hilda Farmer of Goldsboro.
