Rufus T. Starbuck, 87, of R. 9, Bloomington, died at 4:05 p.m. Monday at the Bloomington Hospital. Arangements are pending at the Greene and Harrell Mortuary where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Rufus T. Starbuck, 87, of R. 9, Bloomington, who died Monday at the Bloomington Hospital.
He was born Aug. 25, 1889, in Illinois, the son of Charles and Hester (Hubbard) Starbuck. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are six daughters; Kathryn Cooper, Wyrtus Waldrip, Laurena Roberts, and Hester Hillenburg, all of Bloomington; Dorothy Johnson of Nashville and Velda Vaught of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Richard of Bloomington and Robert of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; 27 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
His wife, Nellie, one son, Harold, and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Greene and Harrell Chapel with the Rev. Kaih Rayl and Sister Grace Hillenburg officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. today.
