Martha Catron, age 97, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Iberia on November 3, 1921, daughter of the late John “Fount” and Sara Melvina (Humphrey) Ahart. On February 14, 1947 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, Martha married Sherman Reginald Catron, who preceded her in death on April 15, 2012.

Martha loved cooking, sewing, quilting, and collecting salt and pepper shakers. She knew all historical facts of the local area. Martha loved her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Garry Catron and wife Cheryl of Orlando, Florida and Michael Catron and wife Cindy of Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Mary Catron; six grandchildren, Alysha Range (Dale), Kurt Catron, Gina Grimes (Tom), Rick Catron, Joseph Catron, and Aaron Catron (Clarissa); and many great-grandchildren, family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sherman, she was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Catron.

A memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
