Janet loved quilting, reading books by James Patterson, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by sons, Kevin Bailey of Portsmouth, Michael Hoover of Richmond, VA, Peter Hoover of
Hilliard, Tim Hoover of Westerville; daughters, Barbara McCracken-Bussa (Robert Bussa) of Columbus, Karen Skaggs of Wheelersburg, Paula Ratcliff of West Portsmouth, Lisa Sturgill of Sciotodale, Jan
Cooper of Richmond, VA; brother, Bob Scott of Portsmouth; sister, Carol Reed of Sciotoville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband, Bill Hoover; son Steven Cracken; sisters, Nancy Nagel, Jo Ann Earl, and one in infancy, Delores Scott; one brother, Richard Scott.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor John Gowdy officiating.
