Rodney Lee Russell, 65 of Acworth, GA passed away November 28, 2018 at his home. Born in Fort Smith, AR March 24, 1953, he was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Bonnie (Donelson) Russell. Survivors include his sister Vicky Russell Hart (David) of Knoxville, TN; brother Richard Russell (Susette Wingo) of Acworth, GA; and his nieces Teresa Hart, Lacey Cheek, and Lindsey Russell.
Rodney loved the theatre, movies, music, cooking, and gardening. He was part of the Atlanta Ballet in the 80’s and completed officers training in 2006 at the Atlanta Police Academy. Rodney loved his family and was a blessing to them.
A graveside service was held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park with Father Mark Starr officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to your charity of choice. Southern Cremations and Funerals assisted Rodney’s family.
