L. Caryl Westlund, 89, of Prophetstown, died on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Prophets Good Samaritan Home, in Prophetstown.
She was born on February 27, 1929, in Kewanee, to C. Russell and Ethel (Stephens) Thurwachter. She married Gene T. Westlund on August 7, 1948 in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1998.
Surviving is her daughter, Jeanne (Steven) Peska; 3 sons, Tom (Bonnie) Westlund, Steve (Ann) Westlund and John Westlund; 6 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a great-grandchild.
Per Caryl's wishes her remains will be donated to medical science and there will be no services.
A memorial has been established in her memory to the CGH Health Foundation.
Arrangements are through the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
