Rose E. Burns (nee Nelson), age 89, of Sullivan, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born on May 1, 1929 in Poplar Grove, Arkansas and moved to Cleveland in November of 1955. She married her husband Fred on June 8, 1946. Rose has been a resident of Sullivan since 2015 moving from Cleveland.
Rose was a member of the Wellington Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, crocheting and working puzzles.
Survivors include her sons, Nathan (Molly) Burns of Elyria, Curtis (Jackie) Burns of North Ridgeville; daughters, Marilyn (Vernon) Thompson of Sullivan, Cynthia (Don) Michaels of Painesville; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 2014; son Richard in 2011; parents, John and Margaret Nelson; 2 brothers and a sister.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Willie Bias will officiate.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
