She grew up on a farm near Apheatone, Oklahoma and attended Apheatone Schools. She married the love of her life, Robert D. Scott, Jr. on May 26, 1946 in Walters, Oklahoma. She was a house wife for many years while her children were young and then worked at Haggar Slacks for a few years then had a home day care for several years until she retired. She was very dedicated to her church and church friends both in Lawton and Mustang. She moved to Mustang, Oklahoma to live with her daughter in 2012. She moved to Ranchwood Nursing Home in Yukon in 2017. She was known all of her adult life as Louise Scott, but at the nursing home she was known as Miss Lille, the "bead lady".
