Beth loved to travel and spend time camping and taking trips in their motor home. Many camping trips were spent with the family at Hebgen Lake, Montana as well as the Redwoods in California. Beth traveled through almost all 50 states, collecting different kinds of bells along the way. Beth also has an extensive collection of bells from around the world, brought back from family and friends to add to her collection. Beth’s greatest love was Scouting. Beth served in the Scouting program for 50 years. She received many distinguished awards including the Award of Merit, On My Honor and Silver Beaver Awards. She also served on the Wood badge staff with her husband.
Beth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held numerous callings. Her most enjoyable calling was being an ordinance worker in the Ogden, Utah Temple. A calling which she served faithfully for over 16 years.
Beth is survived by her husband, Ronald Parry of 60 years. Her four children, John (Toni) Parry, Joyce (Glenn) Hatch, Rona (David) Young and Lee (Angie) Parry. Beth also has seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Syracuse Maplewood Chapel, 2228 South 1660 West, Syracuse, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday, November 29th at the church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again, on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Syracuse City Cemetery.
