Ray, the son of Ray Sr. and Gayle (Reed) Stinnett, was born on March 27, 1965, in Kankakee, IL. Ray was a 1983 graduate of Bethel Acres HS. After graduation Ray went to Seminole Junior College and studied computers. He worked for Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech and then went to work for the Oklahoma National Guard, where he worked for over 20 years prior his retirement. Due to health issues, working for the National Guard was his way of serving his nation, and he did so proudly. Ray married Misty Powers on December 17, 2012 in Shawnee. He enjoyed his work on computers, assembling model cars and doing other building projects, but his favorite thing to do was to visit with his boys. Ray loved to be there as soon as the boys got home from school to hear all about their day.
Ray was preceded in death by grandparents and by his aunt, Ethel.
Ray is survived by:
Wife: Misty Stinnett
Parents: Ray and Gayle Stinnett
3 stepsons: Joshua, Caleb and Quentin
Aunt: Mary
Mother-in-law and father-in-law: Louise and Danny Catron
Several other family and friends
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Abiding Grace Tabernacle with Bro Paul Gregg officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.
