WARD, Louis Frances. Died at 11:15 Monday morning at his home, 724 West Fifteenth street, after a long illness from cancer of the liver. Funeral Wednesday morning.
Louis Francis Ward was born Sept. 29, 1843, in Baltimore, Mr. He entered the army when he was a young man and served for thirty years, being discharged five years ago at the Rock Island arsenal with the rank of sergeant. He is 61 years, 1 month and 18 days old and is survived by his wife, Matilda, two daughters, Marguerite and Lucille, and one son, Francis Jr., who is now en route home from the Philippines where he served in the regular army for the past three years. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock with services at Holy Family church at 9 o'clock and interment at St. Marguerite's cemetery.
