Lupe Hernandez Martinez, age 96 died Monday, November 26, 2018.
She was born in Bridgeport, TX on May 13, 1922 the daughter of Juan and Valentina Hernandez. On December 2, 1939 she married Nick Cano Martinez Sr.
She is survived by her children: Rosalio (Genevieve) Martinez, Paulding, Martin (Gloria) Martinez, Ft. Wayne, Lupe (Ray) Contreraz, Paulding, Nick Martinez Jr., Paulding, Esther (Joe) Rangel, Paulding, Phyllis Martinez, Ft. Wayne, Valentina (Art) Ybarra, Ft. Wayne, Juan Martinez, Paulding, and Lisa (Tim) Bermejo, Paulding; siblings, Julia DeLeon, and Santos Hernandez, both of Dallas, TX; and many grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandchildren, Martina Contreraz and Brandon Bermejo; great grandchildren: Joshua Martinez and Talan Fett; and siblings: Macario, Zaragosa, Margarito, Jose, Sesarito, Petra, Pasquela, and Juanita.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, December 1 at the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. She will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery, at a later date.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 30 from 2-8 PM at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services.
