Florence R. Cooper, 100, beloved wife of 52 years to the late John J. Cooper, Sr. of East Granby, peacefully passed away at her home on November 21, 2018.
She was born in Hartford on October 12, 1918, daughter of the late Archie and Jennie (Sutcliffe) Frenette, and graduated from Bulkeley High School, Class of 1936.
She married John in 1939 and the two settled in East Granby to raise their family.
After working briefly with Veeder-Root in Hartford, Florence retired from Travelers Insurance in 1983.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville where she faithfully attended and taught Sunday School for many years.

Florence leaves her daughter Shirley A. Cooper and son John J. Cooper, Jr., both of East Granby; grandson David Cooper and his wife Minta of Encino, CA and granddaughter Elizabeth "Beth" Cooper of Billerica, MA; brother Archie Frenette of Glastonbury; four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her twin sister Eleanor Morency and brother George Frenette.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield with burial following in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
