She was born October 31, 1944 in a small town in West Virginia, the daughter of Mary and Arthur Kegley. She is the youngest of numerous siblings. On April 2, 1965, she married Billy W. Tate.
Patricia was a devout child of God and member of the Open Door Baptist Church, as well as a wonderful matriarch to her family. She was the sweetest, most caring, loving, and giving person that you could have the blessing of knowing.
She is survived by her husband, Billy W. Tate; her son, Kenneth R. Tate; her grandchildren, Jessica L. Hamilton, Christopher A. Hamilton, Ashley M. Tate, Summer L. Morris, Michael L. Prather, Robert E. Prather, Ricky R. Holesapple, Justin L. Holesapple, and Danny J. Holesapple. There are too many family members to list, but she loved you all greatly.
She is preceded in death by her son, David W. Tate; her grandson, William R. Tate; her brother, William Kegley; and her parents, Mary and Arthur Kegley.
Patricia’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. All are open to anyone who would like to come pay their respects."
